Back Story

Servicing the printing needs of businesses and consumers in the Boston area, Calendar Press felt their brand needed a renewal and their market position to be more clearly defined. The business of putting ink on paper has changed dramatically over the past decade and inventorying collateral materials has become a thing of the past. Calendar Press was evolving within the needs of the marketplace and was repositioning the firm for today's communications needs. Management required a new online presence and related mechanisms to educate current and future consumers.

The Challenge

The Calendar Press brand had evolved from a trusted supplier of printed materials to a cutting edge solution based company. Their new website had to reflect the internal changes and evolution sought by companies today. Additionally, the firm wanted to convey their increased ability to meet shrinking deadlines with state of the art technologies they had employed.

Results

The integrated new online presence features an interactive no-nonsense flash based website with optimized graphics for speed and readability. Additionally, we featured their new short run digital press up front where readers would discover it at first glance. A new customer portal allowing clients to log in and upload projects or order repeat runs online yields further flexibility. The woman-owned and operated firm was also highlighted as a point of difference as were the environmental aspects of papers, inks and power utilized by the firm.

To enable more complete market saturation, we designed an integrated direct mail campaign to all current and past customers to visit the new Calendar Press website where they could order a complementary desk calendar.
